The philosophy of Cross Country is that each athlete perform at his/her “personal best” while working as a team throughout the season. Each runner is encouraged to track his/her running times and strive to improve or reach personal goals.
The Cross Country program is offered to students in grades 4-8. Information on Cross Country was given out in May. The boys’ and girls’ cross country season begins in September and concludes in November. Practices are 3 days a week for 1 hour at Highland Road Park. Meets are on Saturday mornings. During the summer, practices are voluntary and scheduled twice a week. Parents interested in involving their children should contact Coach Brad Martin.
The fee for each student eligible to run cross country is $60.
