Choir

The St. Jude Choir is led by Mrs. Mary Hilse.

Choir is open to all fifth through eighth grade students by audition only at the start of the year. Choir rehearses mostly on Mondays during study hall from 8:05-8:45AM.

Choir performs throughout the year at various events such as school masses, Grandparents Day, and our Christmas and Spring Concerts. All are welcome to come see our wonderful singers! 

Band

The St. Jude Band Department is led by Mrs. Suzanne Buerkle.

Beginner Band and Advanced Band meet four times a week before school from 7:00 to 7:40 a.m.

The St. Jude Band perform a Christmas and Spring concert for the school and their families to enjoy.

Jr. Beta Club

We are pleased to offer Jr. Beta Club, a National Service Organization, as an extracurricular option for our students.

Eligible students are invited to join the Jr. Beta Club at the beginning of their seventh or eighth grade year. Members must have a final GPA of 3.67. For the 7th grade students, the 6th grade final GPA is used, and for 8th grade students, the 7th grade final GPA is used. Subjects that determine this average are religion, math, science, social studies, literature, and English. Members must have an A or B in conduct at all times.

Each school year, St. Jude School offers over 15 clubs for our middle school students to do. Our middle school students vote each year which clubs to offer or new clubs to add. Some clubs we offer include:

Scouts

CUB SCOUT PACK 103

We are part of the Istrouma Area Council of the Scouts BSA Program. The Istrouma Area Council covers the Baton Rouge region for scouting related activities.

We are hosted by our charter organization, St. Jude the Apostle Church, located in Baton Rouge, LA. We hope you and your children will be life long scouters and scouts.

GIRL SCOUTS

St. Jude School offers Girl Scouts beginning in kindergarten with our Daisies program and currently runs through 3rd grade with our Brownies program.
